Shalom Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) established as an endeavour in 2010 by Sainath Educational And Charitable Society to build up his innovative idea in the field of this Hospitality Sector with a commitment to sustain a growth in the financial status of the down todden command of the society a visionary education of Odisha. The institute situated at Berhampur, Ganjam, Odisha the millennium city of Odisha has a proud history of rich culture and heritage and one of the striking features of modern times has been the growth of National and International tourism which stands on the base of Hospitality Industry. From the very start faculty governance ,students ,discipline, academic ambience ,ever modernization in infrastructural support, value added programme , focused approach for all round personality development have all shared in SIMS Collage of Hotel Management.

It is a brand equity in the field of professional studies. Effective governance and quality education from the very beginning has resulted in the institute becoming a group of education institute in the State of Odisha.

SIMS is affiliated Institution of the Utkal University Of Culture, recognized by Govt. of Odisha and is the 1st and only leading Institution in the hospitality sector in Southern Odisha.

GOVERNING BOARD

Our Governing Body Consists of 11 Members as per provision under class 36(1)7 of UTKAL UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE 1st statue 2001. The Chairman, Principal, Two teachers representive and two members nominated Vice-Chancellor and Director Culture, Two other members from local importance. The Governing Board members are responsible for the governance of the college. Their central goal is to support and improve the means by which the college achieves its academic objectives. The board is empowered by charter to hold all properties and to exercise all powers.
